The StreamAwards are back! In 2024, the popular German award show for streamers and their communities will take place for the third time. Here you can find out everything you need to know about the event: when and where it takes place, which categories there are and what innovations the voting system brings for more fairness.
What are the StreamAwards?
The StreamAwards are an award show created by streamer Reved that has been held annually on Twitch since 2022. This is not the English-language counterpart, the "The Streamer Awards"but a unique German format. The aim? To honor the best clips and moments of the year and give the German streaming community a stage.
The show focuses on funny, exciting and emotional moments that were created during livestreams. These highlights are recorded by the community and then awarded in a public vote and by a jury of experts.
When and where will the StreamAwards 2024 take place?
On December 5, 2024 the StreamAwards go live! You can follow the event on the official Twitch channel from Reved. The event promises to be an evening full of excitement, humor and perhaps a few unforgettable rage moments.

New voting system: focus on fairness
Last year, there was some criticism of the StreamAwards voting system. In particular, the overwhelming dominance of major streamers such as Papaplatte caused discussion. In 2024, the organizing team is responding to feedback from the community with a revised and fairer system that takes better account of all participants.
The most important changes at a glance:
- Community voting remains intact: The community still has the biggest say. You can vote for your favorite clips and streamers and thus influence the majority of the result.
- Two jury parts:
- The StreamAwards jury consists of experienced Twitch mods who evaluate the quality of the clips with a comprehensive overview of the submissions.
- The streamer jury is made up of active streamers who contribute additional perspectives through their expertise and experience.
- Nomination limit per streamer: To distribute the chances more evenly, there is a limit to the number of nominations per person. This is to prevent larger communities from automatically dominating.
Update:
Additional clips, over and above the nomination limit per streamer, have been re-nominated for categories such as "Best Troll Moment" and "Best Stream Crossover" to ensure no great moment is overlooked.
